About
The Sydnerati Mission…
We are the Sydnerati.
We’re the ones having all the fun; the folks who are totally over grinding with the cool kids every night, but are too adventurous and cashed up to simply take it lying down and head off into the suburban sunset. Those who enjoy the finer things in life, and, rather than just being all talk, actually get out and enjoy them.
We’re members of Generation D.I.N.K. (Double Income No Kids), or at the very least, non-DINKs who have no problem dumping the kids at mums whenever they get the chance. We can’t solve your relationship issues, your financial woes or cure your cancers, but damn, we can keep your inner hedonist satisfied.
We all know the hardest part is keeping your finger on the right pulse. Your motivation might be there, but with so many “What’s On” places giving you too much of absolutely everything (i.e. useless cruddy generic family fun-days), the Sydnerati can be your filter as to what’s cool, fun & unique for people like us.
So get up off the couch. We’ve got the time, we’ve got the means and we’ve got the motivation to own our city.
About the blogger:
Demis Lyall-Wilson was born on the internet in 1994 when he broke into his first computer lab at university and hooked up his first pirate web server. Since then his online antics have been garnished with the attention of the world many times over, yet you’ll still not know his name : appeared on US talk-shows, run a short-lived men-in-kilts porn site (after a drunken night out with the boys took a turn for the worst), had various viral video creations featured across many international news/media outlets (CNN, WSJ, AP, AOL, IMDB, FHM …all the abbreviations), and travelled the world as both a pianist, entertainer, and on-tour media-guy, and has been blogging since way before anyone ever started calling it ‘blogging’.
The locals may have more recently heard of his antics running around the Sydney International Food Festival as a roaming reporter for ABC 702 Weekends, having so much fun he had to get this site up and running once it was all over, in an attempt to keep the party going.
Demis currently lives in Sydney with his talented and enduringly tolerant wife Cat, spending most of his daytimes locked in dark rooms working on fancy visual effects for hollywood.
