Looking around the various things the city has to offer this weekend, apart from the continuing Comedy Festival, there does seem to be an awful lot on pertaining to beer, sports and the wearing of kilts. Kilts? Don’t get me started about the humble kilt. I’d wear mine all the time if it were something I could get away with at work without constant ridicule – and with full “traditional”... 

If you’re looking for a good mid-week escape from the chilly nights that have just landed on us, what about a night of the raw-yet-soulful tones of songstress Regina Spektor at the Opera House? She’s on tour at the moment celebrating the release of her fifth album Far, and despite initially selling out her first show, there’s one more night of piano-based bliss tonight (Wed 27th April)...
