Is there any proof that our supermarket-bought groceries buy buy generic viagra viagra cheap generic acomplia are really that much worse? Plus, seems kinda pricey to upgrade to organic when at the end of the day, it’s the same old food.

Doing a quick bit of googling, you find so many opnions swaying you one way or another, and so many different definitions of exactly what the term “Organic” covers, etc. and unless you’re on a true mission, you’ll probably give up or put organics in the too hard basket (at least for now).

Not us.

Screw the science. Screw the proofs. After a particularly bad run of (ultimately tasteless and grey-looking) Woolworths carrots one week, we decided to find a supplier and see how much of our average week’s food we could cross over into organic territory.

There are probably many ways of settling the arguments for or against organic produce, but for us, our mission was to see how much benefit it would bring to our life (taste, health, variety) for as little financial outlay as possible.

The “how” part is actually really easy. There are several companies around which will deal directly with average joe punters like us, all with easy websites, all with legit-sounding how to buy cialis online organic certification. We ended up going with OrganicFood.com.au for our fruit & veg, partly for the look of their website/costs and partly because where to buy cialis their delivery preferences fitted in best with our schedules. They deliver once a week, and let you either pick boxes full of “the best stuff Prednisone Online in season this week”, or you can mix and match your own. For our experiment, we’ve gone mostly with the in-season selection, but taking out a few things we simply wouldn’t eat and beefing up some of the things we chomp through a lot of.

For meats we’ve stuck with the labelled organic stuff found in our local supermarkets (though still on the hunt for a better hook-up than that, price-wise…), get prescription drugs without prescription and have generally tried to select any other dried goods (crispbreads, cereals) we can imuran acomplia prices find when available.

So ok, we didn’t go total hardcore on-the-organic-wagon, but went as far as we (and probably anyone else only tentatively committed to the cause) could realistically go without an extreme amount of effort or time.

That was a couple of months back – how did we go?

In short, total converts, though still have some reservations…

To begin with, the thing which best summed it up for me in the beginning were the forementioned carrots. I’m a big carrot eater, so much so that I’m persecuted by many in my work environment (jealousy I’d expect) for my incessant daily carrot chomping, and you could call me an expert in the field. From day one I noticed cheapest generic levitra online the switch to organic with great gusto. The colour, the taste, the snap-tastic crunch… all massive improvements.

Rather than feeling like I was biting into a lump of stuff that had been sitting on a shelf for 6 months, this really tasted like it’d been in the ground only a day or two ago (which it probably had… all local suppliers, mostly direct from market).

We experienced the same story across the board, flavour-wise, and even though we’re now quite used to the experience, we’re still noticing it occasionally when we throw an old favourite into a dish and are hit with a much more massive dose of flavour than we’d be used to. Taste-wise, 5 thumbs up.

The cost of it all has really only added about $20 to our weekly grocery bills, and for what we’re getting, it’s totally worth it. Really, that’s only 20 bucks, but the produce we’re getting has turned our formerly crappy mid-week meals into flavour-country every time.

There are still a few items we ended up retreating from organics with early on, partly to keep the cost down, and partly for convenience. Bananas for one – a lot more expensive than the regular ones, and being the sort of fruit you really can’t keep hanging around all week, we’ve ended up buying fresh bunches of the non-organic variety every couple online levitra of days like we used to. Perhaps that’ll change over time

Stuff like breakfast cereals an how much cialis should i take d milk is still *way* too expensive to try and source anywhere locally. It is certainly available, but we just can’t justify the cost increase for items like that just yet. Again, I’d really hope that dairy and cereal grains would come down in price over time. Having said that, there are a couple of fairly decent supermarket yoghurt brands which claim certified organic status, and I’ve switched over to them, as we also did to

the single brand of certified organic eggs our local Woolies has. Eggs in particular are something I’ve always tried to “do the right thing” with, from a humane perspective, and it’s good to see that it’s quite possible to get certified free range organic eggs with only a moderate price increase.

Part of me still doubts that those sneaky egg farmers aren’t pushing that fine line as they’ve always done though…

Bottom line is that I hardly feel there is any excuse not to switch to organic for most things you’d eat in your week.

The slight price increase is well worth it, and if everything the science says is true, then even if the taste alone wasn’t worth the couple of extra bucks, then freedom from the nasty preservative/chemical additives certainly is.

Try out your own 2 month challenge. You’ll see.

Do a bit of google searching to see what organic supplier is right for you, but if you’re in the inner-west, I can vouch for these guys : friendly staff that make an effort to get to know you and your individual order every week, and the fruit & veg have been awesome :
